Our Purpose

     Our purpose is to connnect the unconnected to Jesus Christ and together grow in a full devoted relationship with Jesus Christ.   We desire to bring people into a deepening, and serving personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  We embrace families in an atmosphere of love and affirmation while developing fully devoted disciples who will influence the world for Christ.

Welcome to this brief overview of Allegheny West Christian Church. Thanks for visiting us in the virtual realm!
 
While there are numerous programs and opportunities you will encounter at Allegheny West, the church is found in the heart of her people.  I hope you'll be able to come and meet them and experience the "heart" of Allegheny West.

If there is a touchstone passage that describes the church, we would like to be known for "speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Him who is the Head, that is Christ. From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work" Ephesians 4:15-16

We admit to the prejudice of loving our community and think that Western Allegheny area is one of the most engaging and pleasant communities around. We're also proud of our location, just minutes form downtown Pittsburgh and 5 miles from the Pittsburgh International Airport.    If you are preparing for a move here, you'll be very pleased with the surroundings.  We hope the choice of a church is a high priority and that you'll check us out in reality, too.
